Maybe You Recognize Yourself Here?

-
Your inner critic never shuts up That voice in your head constantly judges every decision, replays your mistakes, and tells you you're not good enough, leaving you exhausted before you even start your day.

-
You're running on empty while everyone else's tank stays full
You pour yourself into caring for others- family, colleagues, friends - while your own needs get pushed aside until you're burned out, resentful, and wondering why no one cares for you the way you care for them.

-
Your emotions feel like a runaway train
One moment you're fine, the next you're overwhelmed, reactive, or shutting down completely. You feel like you're at the mercy of your moods instead of having any control over your emotional responses.
-
"No" feels impossible to say
You overcommit to everything, feel guilty when you try to protect your time or energy, and end up drowning in obligations while feeling selfish for even thinking about your own needs.

-
Your relationships are stuck in the same frustrating patterns
Whether it's conflict that never gets resolved, feeling misunderstood, or emotional distance that keeps growing, you're tired of the same relationship struggles playing out over and over.

-
Life is passing by in a blur of "not enough"
You're always rushing to the next thing, never pausing to appreciate what's good, and constantly feeling like you need to achieve more to prove your worth, while joy and satisfaction feel out of reach.
Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) is an, evidence-based, 8-week course developed by Dr. Kristin Neff and Dr. Chris Germer that directly addresses the struggles above.
After this Course, You Will Be Able To:
-
Build a kinder inner voice that supports rather than judges
-
Learn to care for yourself while caring for others, without burning out
-
Navigate emotional ups and downs with greater steadiness and self-awareness
-
Set clear, respectful boundaries as a way of honouring your own needs
-
Bring insight and compassion to relationships that feel stuck or difficult
-
Slow down enough to savour what’s good and recognise your own worth

What to Expect
Through guided practices, reflection, and group dialogue, you'll learn to treat yourself with the same care you'd offer a close friend, but this time, that friend is you.
MSC isn't therapy, but many find it deeply healing. It's not general mindfulness either, it's compassion training that helps you build a warm, supportive relationship with yourself.
Whether you're drowning in stress, self-criticism, or just want to live with more ease, MSC gives you practical tools for the emotional strength and self-support you've been craving.

About the Info Session
Q: What exactly happens in the free info session?
A: You'll get an overview of what Mindful Self-Compassion is (and isn't), experience a short guided practice, learn about the 8-week course structure, and have your questions answered. No pressure to sign up, its just helpful information to see if it's right for you.
Q: Do I need any experience with mindfulness or meditation?
A: Not at all! This session is designed for complete beginners. We'll explain everything from the ground up.
About Self-Compassion
Q: Isn't self-compassion just making excuses for myself?
A: Actually, research shows the opposite. Self-compassion increases motivation, accountability, and resilience. It's about being a supportive coach to yourself rather than a harsh critic—which actually helps you perform better and bounce back faster from setbacks.
Q: Will this make me "soft" or less driven?
A: Studies show that self-compassionate people are more motivated to improve, more willing to take responsibility for mistakes, and more resilient under pressure. You'll still have standards—you'll just achieve them without burning yourself out.
About the 8-Week Course
Q: What's the weekly time commitment?
A: Each live session is 2 hours, plus optional daily practices (5-20 minutes), and a 3 hour, virtual retreat that will take place midway through the course . Most people find the practices easily fit into their existing routine, and the find the retreat a wonderful way to strengthen community.
Q: What if I can't attend all the live sessions?
A: The live group experience is a key part of the learning, so attendance is required for the majority of the sessions. However, we understand that life happens and it's ok to miss one or two classes with advance notice.
Q: Is this therapy?
A: No, MSC is an educational program, not therapy. While many find it therapeutic, it's designed as skills training rather than treatment. If you're dealing with severe depression, trauma, or other mental health issues, we recommend consulting with a therapist about whether MSC is appropriate for you right now.
Q: What makes this different from other self-help approaches?
A: MSC is based on decades of research by leading experts Dr. Kristin Neff and Dr. Chris Germer. It's not positive thinking or self-esteem building—it's a practical, evidence-based approach that works even when you don't feel good about yourself.
Practical Questions
Q: What do I need technically for the online sessions?
A: Just a stable internet connection, a device with video capability, and a quiet space where you can participate without interruption.
Q: Is this course only for women?
A: This course is open to anyone who is interested and open to learning about self-compassion and applying this practice to their lives.
Q: I'm skeptical about this kind of thing. Should I still come?
A: Skepticism is totally normal and welcome! The info session is specifically designed for people who want to understand what self-compassion actually is before committing to anything. Come with your questions—we'd rather you make an informed decision than sign up for something that doesn't feel right.
Q: What happens after the 8 weeks?
A: You'll have lifetime access to all course materials and recordings, plus optional ongoing practice groups to help you maintain your practice.
